This film is the fruit of a powerful and intense bond with the forest animals that Gérard Pontini has worked with for 30 years. It is a vibrant tribute to their beauty, to their fundamental role in helping the forest and other animals. It’s a celebration of the living world, in which each animal has its own place, which is not always recognized. The film is divided into 20 chapters, with the fox as servant and regulator in the forest, the wild boar as tireless ploughman, the black woodpecker as tree nurse, the squirrel as acrobat gardener, the tawny owl as musician of the night… the indispensable pollinators and the necessary decomposers… At the end of the film, a meeting and discussion with the director.
