Vaujany, an accessible destination
Experience the mountains at your own pace
The mountains are experienced differently by everyone – and that’s what makes them so special.
In Vaujany, everyone can enjoy the mountains in their own way, at their own pace and according to their abilities, in a welcoming village resort connected to the vast Alpe d’Huez ski area.
An experience for everyone
The resort is designed to make it easier to get around and access its main attractions:
Getting around Vaujany
- lifts connecting the different levels of the resort;
- largely pedestrianised village centre;
- covered parking close to services and accommodation;
- step-free routes across the main areas of the village.
Adaptive skiing
Enjoy adaptive skiing in a safe and supportive environment with ESF Vaujany. Qualified instructors provide lessons tailored to people with disabilities, using specialised equipment. Sit-skis are available free of charge, and both accompanied outings and lessons are offered to help you gain confidence and become more independent.
Here, the mountains are designed to be enjoyed with ease, with careful attention given to accessible routes and a seamless visitor experience.
A mountain destination shaped by nature's contrasts
Vaujany’s unique layout is shaped by its mountain landscape. Steep slopes are part of the village’s identity and contribute to its authentic alpine character.
A range of facilities makes it easier to get around, but some areas can be more challenging, particularly in winter when snow and partially covered pavements may affect accessibility.
The resort continues to improve its infrastructure to make getting around easier and more comfortable for everyone.
